HIMACS at Marine Interiors

Set course for the high seas: HIMACS is the perfect partner

LG Hausys is exhibiting at this year's Marine Interiors, the leading trade fair for Marine interior design and construction, taking place in Hamburg (11 to 13 September). HIMACS is a perfect partner for ship and boat builders as the many properties of the solid surface material mean it is totally waterproof and easy to maintain. On their joint stand, HIMACS and the Interior Film division of LG Hausys will demonstrate these properties.

HIMACS is the perfect material for hard working surfaces on cruise ships such as reception counters. The durable and hygienic Solid-Surface material can of course be used in ship cabins as well - high-quality bathroom applications or as easy to clean wall panels. LG Hausys will be demonstrating that every demand can be catered for in terms of design. In addition to a visually spectacular, thermoformed counter and wall panels in a 3D curved look, HIMACS will be presenting a wide range of samples of the material. From the current Strato collection, which impresses with its striking linear patterns to an unofficial preview of the brand new colours for the Marmo and Concrete collections.

Aesthetic, hygienic, long-lasting - and certified for shipbuilding

HIMACS has a MED certification (Marine Equipment Directive) for modules B and D of the International Maritime Organization IMO, which certifies the suitability of the solid surface material for use in shipbuilding. Both modules are mandatory for the materials used in ships: Module B confirms their fire resistance. It certifies that the material has low flame propagation properties and does not produce excessive amounts of smoke and toxic combustion products. Module D confirms the quality assurance of the production and thus covers the production process, its management and the systems used.
